Pages From the Past

Relive American History through Pages from the Past!

We specialize in American History, specifically in old magazine articles from the 19th and early 20th Century  These ORIGINAL articles, some over 150 years old, have been gently removed from vintage magazines such as Harpers Weekly , Century Magazine, Illustrated American and Scientific American, to name a few.  There is something special about owning a piece of journalistic history from the time it was recorded. Read about the actual battles as they unfolded during the American Civil War.  Moreover, these wonderful magazines are filled with beautiful vintage prints by famous illustrators like C.D. Gibson, Frederic Remington,  Howard Pyle, Maxfield Parrish and N.C. Wyeth.

At Pages from the Past, we provide authentic pieces of American History to authors and genealogists, teachers, fashion designers and set designers as well as researchers who study life in the 1800’s.  Unlike most digital history sites, our individual articles are offered for sale.  Many libraries, college and universities along with historic societies use our old magazine articles and vintage ads for the illustrations and engravings that document United States History.  Much of our inventory is bought privately to be framed and enjoyed by collectors.
